The Plus One Challenge is a team activity at the Digital Skills Careers Day, hosted by the Faculty of Marketing & International Business on Thursday, 12 November 2026. The day’s theme is “Positioning Digital Skills as a Plus One Core Competence for University Learners,” and it brings together digital literacy, data and analytics, digital marketing, global perspective, professional networks and future careers. In teams of not more than 5, participants find a real problem faced by students, a local business or a community group, and use one digital skill they explored during the day to create a simple solution that could make a difference. Each team chooses one format (a campaign idea, a data story or a digital prototype)
